I recently had the opportunity to participate in a business meeting in Kuwait. I focused on using my listening and awareness skills to hear and see all of the different interactions around the table.
ReplyDeleteHi Amy,
ReplyDeleteI was delighted to find your post.
Might you be willing to share an observation or two--similarities/differences--a business meeting in Kuwait versus a business meeting in the U.S.?
Certainly! The most important thing that I have learned is to be flexible to your hosts schedule when you are in a foreign country. Schedules for the day may change so that meetings scheduled for the afternoon may move to the morning or the next day. My experience in the US is that the meeting goes on regardless. But when the meeting starts, it is time to get down to business and get things done! This is similar to the US. Also, I was there during Ramadan so it was important to be mindful of their customs.
