Over the centuries, leadership discourse has moved from authoritarian to one that is more benevolent. Current themes encourage leaders to show their human side and be vulnerable.

The leader creates team spirit by fostering two way communication and creativity in an environment that recognizes and rewards all appropriate and productive outcomes.
